Weld structural steel, plate and pressure parts to qualified procedures, in our bays and on our submerged-arc line.
What you will do
- Weld to the WPS for the job: fillet and full-penetration butt welds in all positions
- Prepare joints, check fit-up and preheat before welding
- Keep your welds free of defects that NDT would find, and record your work
- Work safely with your own PPE and the bay’s permit rules
What you bring
- ITI or equivalent in welding
- Qualified to ISO 9606 or ASME IX; 6G is a strong advantage
- Able to read weld symbols on fabrication drawings

Set out, fit up and tack structural and plate assemblies to drawing, ready for welding and trial assembly.
What you will do
- Read shop drawings and set out members, gussets and connections
- Fit up to tolerance using jigs, levels and total stations
- Work with the welders and QA to hold dimensions through welding
- Prepare assemblies for trial assembly in the 30 m bay
What you bring
- ITI Fitter or equivalent
- Experience in heavy structural or plate fabrication
- Comfortable with measuring tools and tolerances of a millimetre

Run our fibre lasers, CNC plasma, TruPunch and Kotec beam drilling line: programmes, set-up, first-off checks and output.
What you will do
- Load programmes, set up and run the machine for each batch
- Check first-off parts against the drawing before the run
- Mark and track parts so every piece reaches the right assembly
- Carry out daily machine care
What you bring
- Diploma or ITI with CNC experience
- Familiar with nesting software; Lantek, SigmaNEST or similar is an advantage

Programme and run our Cloos and ABB robotic welding cells for repeat parts, chassis and long members.
What you will do
- Programme robot paths and weld parameters for new parts
- Design and prove the fixtures that hold parts for the robot
- Improve cycle times without losing weld quality

- Diploma or degree in mechanical, production or welding engineering
- Hands-on robot programming (Cloos, ABB, Fanuc or similar)

What you will do
- Plan and allocate the work in your bay each shift

What you will do
- Model structures and assemblies in Tekla Structures or SolidWorks

What you will do
- Build and keep project schedules through fabrication, painting and dispatch
- Plan material and bought-out items against the schedule
- Load the machines and bays and resolve clashes

What you will do
- Review WPS and PQR, qualify welders and witness tests
- Inspect fit-up, welds and dimensions at every stage
- Arrange and review NDT: UT, MT, PT and RT
- Prepare quality dossiers for export clients and third-party inspectors
What you bring
- Degree or diploma in mechanical or metallurgical engineering
- CSWIP or AWS CWI, and ASNT or ISO 9712 Level II, are advantages
- Knowledge of EN 1090, ISO 3834 and ASME IX

- Check surface preparation, profile and cleanliness before coating
